He is the Prof & Head, Department of Forensic Odontology, SDM Dental College and Hospitals, Dharwad, Karnataka. He is one of the famous Forensic Odontologist who solved the Dr. Nirbhaya case in India with the Bite Mark evidence. With over 17 years’ experience, he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students, and serves as a consultant in forensic dental, anthropological, and archaeological cases referred by the police, government agencies and forensic medical experts from across India. The welcome address was given by Dr. Abirami Arthanari and the Moderator was Dr. Don from Oral Pathology. Dr. Ashith B. Acharya gave an overview about Forensic odontology, including sex determination and age estimation. He gave his expert witness chart overview as well.
